John F Kennedy moves into the White House and was later assassinated in 1963

The first Civil Rights bill was passed to stop racial discrimination in USA

Leader Martin Luther King was assassinated.

Vietnam War starts. US sends first troops to Vietnam

May 68 saw a student protest and a general strike in France. Many saw the events as an opportunity to shake up the "old society" and traditional morality, focusing especially on the education system and employment.
